Chris Manley, born and raised in Sampson County North Carolina, has spent most of his life living in the rural parts of eastern NC. Chris grew up in a family of outdoorsmen, which helped to ignite his love for the outdoors. He started hunting and fishing at such an early age, that the dog was older than him. His enjoyment of the outdoors also led him to the Boy Scouts, where he acquired the Eagle Scout rank.
After graduating from North Carolina State University, where he earned a BS degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences with a Minor in Botany, Chris worked with the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission (NCWRC). Following his work with NCWRC, he gained valuable knowledge in the farming world as a consultant with an agricultural consulting firm. Chris’s recent work experience includes 14 years as a biologist with the State of North Carolina (with NCWRC and NCDOT), where he has gained extensive experience in wetland and stream delineation, threatened and endangered species surveys, wildlife damage control, wildlife management, and working with the agencies that protect and manage our natural resources.
Chris is blessed with two great parents, Don and Donna Manley, and a wonderful family of his own: wife Blake, son Fletcher, and daughter Mable. Chris spends as much time as his wife and work will allow pursuing game and fish all over the state, country and, sometimes outside the USA. Nothing makes him happier than to take his son with him, and maybe someday his daughter, if she decides it is something that princesses should do.
Mossy Oak Properties and Chris Manley are a great team. This team can see the value in all types of land, and would love to help clients sell their property, or find one’s dream getaway, farm, or investment.
